ENM26 – Applying Compost to Supplement Nutrient Application

ENM26 – Applying compost to supplement nutrient application.
Manage agricultural wastes for on farm and off farm use by composting.
Payment = $10.00 /Acre

Benefits

Composting has many on and off farm benefits. These include:

  • Reduction of undesirable odors
  • Reduction of nutrient losses
  • Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions

Criteria for ENM26 Apply Compost

  • Compost Facility must be already be in place and operated in accordance with NRCS standards.
  • Compost will be applied in accordance with the conservation practice standard.
  • Maintain field management records for the life of the CSP contract documenting where and when compost is applied and how much was applied or sold off farm.
