The Guilford Community Landscape Analysis Project

The Town of Guilford and the USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are working in partnership on a Community Landscape Analysis Project.  This venture will enhance the Town's decision-making capability in the area of land use management and natural resources conservation.  It uses a collaborative planning process, involving community stakeholders who will assist in the assessment and analysis of existing conditions and the impacts of future decisions.

The project is intended to make the land use management and natural resource protection systems more accessible both to decision-makers within the town and the general public.  The benefits of this partnership include a Geographic Information System-based decision support system, increased community involvement and awareness of future land use decisions, and NRCS technical assistance to implement local land use decisions.
