What is an Example of Using Soils Information?STORRS, CT – NRCS soil scientists assisted with the Connecticut Environmental Health Association’s workshop entitled, Soil Workshop for Sanitarians. Over 50 sanitarians from throughout the state attended the session, which featured a lecture on soil properties and groundwater basics. The field portion focused on training participants to observe soil properties in test pits in a variety of local soils, concentrating on the identification of the type of material and the depth to high water table.
